Live painting at astoria bier & cheese ditmars
Astoria Bier & Cheese Ditmars is a family-owned beer and cheese shop in Astoria Ditmars, Queens. They have a fantastic selection of craft beers, unique cheeses and charcuterie. Collective Arts Brewing partnered with ABC Ditmars to throw one of their fantastic ART + MUSIC + BREWING party and I got the chance to create a commissioned painting. The owner wanted a piece that celebrates the neighborhood and the community, so we created a fantastical map of Astoria, complete with landmarks and prosciutto legs! We named the piece “The Tangerine Road”.
I finished the piece during the event, and Loser Cruiser provided the beautiful soundtrack out in the patio. Much fun and many beers later, I love the piece and hope it will adorn the walls of ABC Ditmars for years to come! I warmly recommend you check them out if you’re in the area, the staff, management team and the whole family behind the operation are some of the nicest people around!
