Amazing Adventure Exhibit in London, April 9-12th
Here is my piece for the Amazing Adventures exhibit held in London in April!
My piece is inspired by a little known story in the Voyages Extraordinaires called "L'île à Hélice" (Propeller Island). It's the story of four musicians stuck on Standard Island, an extravagantly rich man-made island, traveling in the Pacific ocean. The twist at the beginning of the story is that the musicians get tricked into getting onto the island, and there's this great scene where they realize that they're not in the United States anymore. That's the moment I wanted to capture in my drawing.
I cannot make it across the pound at the moment, but if you’re around, I’d warmly encourage you to go check it out. There’s over 100 pieces from illustrators from around the world!
Put together by Hire an Illustrator and the Little Chimp Company, the exhibition will be held at
